The National Assembly was turned into a "war zone" on Thursday morning as security operatives thoroughly tear gassed Senators, Members of the House of Representatives, Staff and Journalists.
The angry lawmakers however tried to force their way into the National Assembly complex by jumping over the gate.
However the President of the Senate and Chairman of the National Assembly, Senator David Mark, condemned the use of teargas on Senators and members of the House of Representatives by the Police describing the action as “barbaric.”
