The police on Wednesday rescued the Minister of Petroleum’s sister, Madam Osiya Agama, who was kidnapped by unknown gunmen in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital.
Diezani Alison-Madueke’s sister was abducted on her way back from an evening church service on October 21, 2014, at Leventis Bus-stop along Port Harcourt-Aba Road.
But a text message from the State Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Ahmad Mohammad, indicated that the septuagenarian as rescued during a joint operation by the police, military and operatives of the State Security Service.
Though Mohammad did not state where the victim was rescued, he disclosed that two suspects were arrested during the operation.
“This is to inform you that Osiya Agama has been safely rescued during a joint operation by the police, military and the State Security Service. Two suspects were arrested,” he said.
