Boko Haram bombed Abuja to mock recent military victories against them – NLC

The Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) on Sunday, described the recent multiple bomb blasts in two different parts of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja by suspected terrorist group, Boko Haram, as attempts by the sect to make mockery of recent reported victories recorded by the Nigerian military over them.

NLC, in this regard, asked the Nigerian military to remain resolute in their fight against the group.

It also requested the government to renew it’s efforts to the fight against terrorism by undertaking comprehensive investigation of several acts of terrorism in the country with the aim of bringing to books people who are found guilty of aiding terrorists.

A statement from the central labour house in Abuja, quoted it’s factional President, Ayuba Wabba to have said that the terrorists had by their renewed bombing of Abuja, want to portray to the world a false picture that Nigeria is unsafe for its citizens and visitors.

Wabba thus requested that the development should not dampen the morale of the military but rather spur them to add up their efforts on the war against terrorism.
